On Sunday, July 2, Moore hit a pedestrian with his vehicle at Bergenline Avenue and 70th Street, Guttenberg Deputy Police Chief Frank Pelaez said. Moore assaulted another pedestrian and then entered a residence on 70th Street armed with a knife, Pelaez said.
Moore assaulted an occupant of the home as police and the Hudson County Regional SWAT team were called to the scene, Pelaez said. Moore was eventually taken into custody after several hours of negotiations, Pelaez said.
Moore was charged with attempted robbery, aggravated assault, burglary, endangering an injured victim, attempted aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, assault by automobile along with numerous other weapons, traffic and obstruction charges, Pelaez.
Police are also attempting to locate the man Moore struck with his vehicle, Pelaez said.
